Large Antique Wood Pieta Wall Altar ViaticumCatholicreligiousgoods store. This is a beautiful antique solid wood wall altar. It has glorious and exquisite detailing throughout and has a chalkware statue behind glass of the pieta, the blessed virgin mary holding her crucified son, jesus. The glass is reverse hand painted and has a shining cross at the top center and 2 angels on either side. It reads blessed be thy holy name. The bottom of the altar has a depiction of the last supper behind glass and has a door that opens to reveal a storage compartment. The inside background behind the pieta statue needs some cleaning, otherwise very nice condition for the age. A great item fro storing holy water, rosaries, holy medals, prayer books, etc. Overall dimensions are 22 3/4 inches high by 13 inches wide and 5 inches deep.
